The Band KoloYolo Presents Combination of Jazz and Traditional Ukrainian Sounds

KoloYolo is a Ukrainian music trio. Their sound can be described as fusion of jazz, ethnic and electronic beats. They combine tender female vocals, gentle overflows of bandura and guitar strings with complex rhythm and electronic effects.

The band members and founders Olya and Kolya are a married couple. They met at the Kharkiv Conservatory. At the beginning, they played in a rock band together and then they started to think about the idea of mixing bandura with jazz. They put stress on the influence of Ukrainian traditional sounds and history in their music.
