Traditional "Pysankas’ Festival" 2019 in Lviv

On March 29 – May 5 2019 there will be Pysankas’ Festival on Museyna Square in Lviv. During the Festival, this place in Lviv will turn into Pisankas’ open-air museum, where pysankas will be created and decorated.

Anyone who wants to join the city festival can create his/her own pysanka and exhibit it for a public review.
“Good Thing – Everyone Can Do!” a social project and a marathon will be distinctive features of this year’s festival. Lviv public organizations together with the benefactors will create a platform for philanthropy in the city for good initiatives.

Before the Easter organizers of the festival will hold a quest in the city and anyone can participate in it. The participants will have to find a giant Easter eggs, which will be “hidden” throughout the city.
Unfortunately there will be no Pysanka’s Festival in Kyiv in 2019 due to the reconstruction of Sofiyska Square, so it is a good reason to visit Lviv in the end of April.
