Povodyr – The Guide

Supposedly the best Ukrainian movie of all time – Povodyr ( “The Guide” or “Flowers have eyes”)  is a new Ukrainian film by director Oles Sanin. It is Ukraine’s submission to the Oscars in 2015, let’s hope it get’s through!

The film covers many important aspects of Ukrainian history and blends Ukrainian lyrical and modern cinematography.

There will be a film screenings in Toronto on December 18th at 9pm at Humber Cinema, in New York City at the Ukrainian Museum on December 11th at 7pm. Tickets are available on their website: ukrainianmuseum.org.
