Stary Saltov, Kharkiv region, Ukraine

Wanderlust often takes us far away from familiar places, to exotic jungles and high mountains. Still there is lots of beauty where we live and where we come from.

Close to my hometown Kharkiv in Ukraine there is a picturesque village called Stary Saltov with a water reservoir and ancient history. Where the nomad trip of Pecheneg lived in 9-10 centuries AD and cossacks founded a settlement in 18th century, I flew my drone during the golden hour and later that day on the sunset. There are decayed buildings that are part of the dam infrastructure, and reeds in the water reflecting every shade of the sunset red color.
