First teaser for Ukrainian’s Lesya Ukrainka biopic released

The debut teaser for the biopic about famous poet Lesya Ukrainka has been released. Filming took place in Kyiv, Holosiivsky Park along with other studios.

This dramatic scene covers the time she spent with Serhiy Merzhynsky at the end of his life. Lesya Ukrainka selflessly took care of her beloved, trying to facilitate his last days. She wrote one of her most famous poems “The Possessed” during this time.

Lesya Ukrainka is played by Ukrainian actress Daria Polunina. No release date set yet as filming is still on-going.
